Hair & Makeup Artists Needed - We need at least 2 strong hair and make-up gurus for play crew.  If you are interested, please contact Ms. Kleeman (choir room)



There will be a parent/player meeting next Monday the 24th at 5:45 in the cafeteria for 8th-12th grade girls interested in playing softball this year.

 

SENIORS --- Senior composite retakes are scheduled for Tuesday March 10th at 9:00

 

There is a sign up sheet for any girl interested in going out for track. First official practice will be February 24th right after school. If any questions stop and talk to Coach Frett. 

 

If any Track and Field throwers are interested in attending a throwing clinic on March 1st in Solon stop and see coach Frett or Knipfel for information. 



Chamber Singers Back - If you are interested in auditioning for Chamber Singers as a class next year, please talk to Ms. Kleeman by Friday, March 6th.  We will want to have auditions done by Friday, March 20th. Auditions are open to any current 9th-11th graders.

 

Andy Warren the Executive Director of the Associated General Contractors of Iowa.  We have new and relatively new scholarships we will be awarding this Spring to Iowa High School Seniors.

            

  1. Diesel Technology -This is our 3rd year of awarding five (5) - $1000 scholarships to Iowa High School Seniors planning on entering a Diesel Technology Program at a community college in the Fall of 2020.

 

  1. Heavy Equipment Operation, Engineering Tech., General Construction -  This will be our first year of awarding five (5) - $1000 scholarships to Iowa High School Seniors planning on studying heavy equipment operation, engineering technology, or general construction at a community college in the Fall of 2020.

 

The link below has the two different scholarships in both MS Word and PDF formats.  The deadlines are April 12th and awards will be announced by May 1st.  We appreciate forwarding this information to any interested student. Don’t forget to check out our websites:

***The Student Council is hosting a Blood Drive on Tuesday, February 25th in the high school gym from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Please see Ellie Olsen to sign up. If you are 16, you need to get a parental permission slip from Mr. Trask (if you are 17 or older, you do not need this form).  This will need to be turned in by Monday, February 24th by the end of the school day. Everyone who is donating will need to bring a photo ID in order to donate as well.  Please see Mr. Trask or Mrs. Straube with any questions.

 

NHS is hosting an activity night in the high school gym on Friday, February 21st from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.  Activities will include: dodgeball, volleyball, basketball, board games, video games, and much more! The cost will be $5 to enter and will include admission and a snack.  Please see any NHS member or Mr. Trask with any questions!

A big THANKS to all the students who help put chairs away this year after basketball games.  This is a big help in getting the gym cleaned up and it shows great school spirit!!! Mrs. Ahrens



ALL STUDENTS: Do Not bring backpacks, bags etc to class. They need to be left in your lockers at all times. It is in the school policy for your safety and the safety of everyone else.

 

Yearbook will meet in the library on Monday during seminar.

Have service project ideas or suggestions for helping to better our school and community?  Student Council is looking for your help! If you have any suggestions for service projects or how to better our school and community, Student Council would like for you to fill out this form and we will see if we can help you out!  Please see Mrs. Straube or Mr. Trask with any questions.

 

A Thursday session of the Dungeons and Dragons club will be opening up.  Drop in Mr. Garien’s room. Make a character.

 

Student Council will meet in Mrs. Straube’s room during afternoon seminar:  Tuesday, March 17th

 

Prom Committee will meet in Mrs. Straube’s room during afternoon seminar on Monday, February 24th

 

Seminar- if you are requested for seminar by Mr. Diederichs, Mrs. Dittmer or Mrs. Badtram you will report to the high school library.

 

When attending any off campus college visit(s) students are required to get a college visit form from Mrs. Badtram to be completed and signed and a parent MUST call Holly to notify her that you will be gone from school
